It cannot be an accident - so Where is this car's hidden value? If it isn't any special, unique feature, something much more subtle is a key. Thinking about this unsual car, you can draw a conclusion, that in Audi, something new has been made. The Ingolstadt men built a third kind of a german sports car. Porsche is a first and the greatest of them - the reliable, fast and handsome; it's a sole and shiny planet in the motorsport universe. Mercedes Benz and BMW are selling something else; their sportscars are comfortable, luxurious and soft-looking. They have engines of sportcars - mostly, very good
ones - and the rest from its limousines. It's not a something you can get from Italy nor USA; in Germany, only Porsche is a sport-looking and sport-driving car. However, it's not everyone's favourite. The point is, that many of us don't want a car that is dangerous. We want a machine, that looks great and drives soft - and that is a third kind of a german sportscar. That is, what Audi did. Audi R8 is a Porsche 911, that drives safely and softly like an TGV.You will never, never spin this car in a small rain, what you can experience in a 911. Audi R8 is a Mercedes SL, that doesn't look like your grandfather's dream. Your will be calm and smooth - but you'l be still percipeted as a serious, hardcore driver. Audi R8 is a BMW 6, that doesn't look fat. It's reliable, comfortable, very practical - and you absolutely cannot judge it from its look. Well planned, well executed - one must admit, that it's a very, very intelligent car.
