Size does matter, really. Whereas a small terrier's poo on your graveyard is not a serious problem, think what will happen when your neighbour will buy a pair of caucasian shepherds? It's the same problem with Maybach cars. We are accustomed to thousands of ugly asian cars and make no big deal, because Japan is far, far away and such a small machines are just hard to notice from that distance. The same thing is with USA, when they started to make horrible vehicles some years ago -we just made European Union and moved automotive design centres to Barcelona. But what should be done, when something scary is coming within? The Maybach idea was exhumated by MercedesChryslerMitsubishiBenz in 2002 and it looked just like it was digged out of Goth cemetery - a Frankenstein's bus made of Hyundai Sonata, rejected S-Klasse concepts and a bit of smelly, nordic marsh. At some moment of production, a pair of digits was mistaken, so the same car was developed accidentally in two sizes - and this was only the beginning. No heart was used while designing, no brain really thought it through. Of course, some men bought them, but some men would buy anything that is long enough. There should never be a car like Maybach. The luxurious automobiles of classic times were born from passion, engineering genius and a lust for life of its creators. Maybachs are made because of marketing and greed. It's heartwarming to read that none of these aims worked out. They're not selling well and they didn't get as prestigious as Benz accountants wanted. Maybe, the Earth is not completely condemned yet. Now , after 5 boring and long years with 57 (that stand for the owner's IQ number) version and another 5 years with the 62 one, the whole world is a little worse and hopeless. Stop it, stop it, stop it now!
