We could read a lot about a new Lancer of Mitsubishi. We could read that it'll be faster, better and even more agile. It was always a great piece of mechanics, so it all sounds very good. The good one will become considerably better. Unfortunately, they tried to improve styling, too. Apart from turbos, suspension and engine, one can hear Mitsu-designers claiming that they achieved "something new". Lancer got a more agressive front, nicer profile, and the rear end looks more luxurious now. In one word, he wanted it to be chic. It failed, of course. Well, look at it very carefully. Look at it, when painted red (see when i'm coming?) - there's no accident in the shape of rear lights, you could also see the front ones somewhere. Is the profile not remaining of something? Yes, it is. The just made their own, worse looking copy of actual Alfa Romeo 159, there can be no doubt about it. Square lights, a lot of sharp edges and lines, that came surely from Italy - it's a distorted Giugario shape, much shorter and clumsy than original - like they've made some genetical experiment on it. Why, why, why? Not many of japanese cars can be proud of so much personality and strength like Lancer - it's rather Alfa here, that should copy something. Extremely fast and corner-skilled, not so expensive and quite small sedan - was not a Lancer something, that Alfa could be? Now the skilled japanese engineers castrated themselves again and failed, trying to make some metrosexual, soft-sportcar, that will be bought by more stock brokers than ever. They failed, because they can not make such a beautiful car like an Alfa - it's so obvious for everybody, except for them. It interesting, that Alfa has this kind of problem too. Both of them can make only a half of a car - Japanese can make only maths, while their Italian friends are stuck and down everywhere apart from styling. Isn't it a wonderful possibility for making the greatest car ever - together?
